It seems that overnight the temperature in the Northeast took a nosedive. Fall seems to have lasted only a week and now we’re feeling the wrath of frigid Mother Nature. On those days when you wake up, look outside your window and see the world has a tint of blue and everyone on campus looks as if they are dragons, blowing smoke with every breath, you know it’s going to be one of those days where you want you clothes to snuggle you all day long. It’s time for a cozy sweater and layers upon layers, with a layer on top.
This week’s Fashionista hits the nail on the head for the perfect cozy sweater for those cold winter days. A sweater is a perfect time to combine something that's as comfortable as fashion can get while still showing off your personality. Sweaters come in a variety of textures, colors and designs, and are one of the most versatile pieces needed for any closet.
This week’s Fashionista fights back the dreary black and browns of winter with a color uppercut to the face. The colors of the sweater are not out of season though; they're very muted and dark hues of a variety of colors including oranges, blues and greens. She brings in more textures and even more colors with the military inspired brown boots and the burnt orange corduroy jacket to finish off the look.
On those days when it's a chore to wake up and endure the winter’s worst, let the clothes you put on be a big warm hug throughout the day.
