As we are getting back into our daily routines we are settling in, while making adjustments and changes. These changes may consist of a new internship, job or even new classes. Let’s face it, there are many first impressions to make and new expectations to meet. It’s hard to not feel stressed and doubt ourselves at times. But by having a very put-together, classy look you will be looking and feeling great.
This winter, bright colors are some of my favorite types of colors to wear. For the days and nights I feel like dressing up a little more, I love pairing a simple bright-colored top with a neutral blazer. This is a modest look, yet it can give you a flirty twist to your outfit. You may think wearing bright-colored pieces in the winter may bring too much attention to yourself but all you need to do is either embrace the attention or pair it with something that will balance it well. Try slipping on a simple blazer, soft jewelry or a vest to bring just enough attention to your fashionable self. I spotted this Fashionista walking around campus looking like she could face anything and everything.
She took on the vicious cold weather by putting together a fashion-forward outfit that incorporated bright colors while neutralizing the pair. Her bright pink, long-sleeved, J.Crew chiffon shirt was very simple but had a very bold color so she decided to throw on a knitted J.Crew vest to balance it out. Her dark jeans were paired with her light tan, country-styled Frye boots, but any pair of brown boots would complement the outfit perfectly. She combined different gold Tobi bracelets and a large necklace from Etsy to keep her ensemble flirty chic.
Though her bright-colored shirt and knitted vest may be out of sale or the wrong size, you are still able to find similar pieces. Instead of her J.Crew chiffon shirt you can choose an Essential Boat Neck Top in a similar bright pink color. For a similar vest that is very versatile, Forever 21 has an unlimited amount of inexpensive varieties.
Finding the perfect outfit for this week’s agenda won’t be so bad after all. After taking a deep breath in and taking in this Fashionista’s classy look, you are able to look great and feel confident.
