This week while roaming the streets of Pacific Beach on a crowded Saturday, I came across this Fashionista trying on accessories from the corner Urban Outfitters. Lately there has been a common trend with high-waist shorts and cropped tops but what I want to focus on is the relaxed maxi skirt. It is fitting and not so revealing as some of the other summer trends.
Her look is chic with no midriff revealing or thigh bearing necessary. Originally from Riverside, this Fashionista pulls off the San Diego beach/boho look seamlessly. The maxi skirt complements the sunny top she’s wearing and brings the whole outfit to life. The accessories add just the right pop of color so the outfit is vibrant but not over the top. The tribal-beaded headband is bohemian-chic and reiterates the fact the outfit is laid-back. It is just the sort of thing to wear when taking a nice stroll along the coast. Walking around in Pacific Beach it’s perfectly normal to see people strolling around in bikinis or come across people with crazy piercings and tattoos. The area has a culture all on its own. One of the main things that make Pacific Beach one of the most interesting places to visit while in San Diego is its eclectic groups of people that gather to hang out and enjoy the beach. This is probably because the streets are lined with little boutiques, smoke shops, bars, restaurants, etc.
Aside from all that there is to do, boutiques like Pink Zone, Fresh and Gloss are all affordable clothing stores that put a twist on the major brand name styles. The high slit on the side gives just the right amount of coverage but also the opportunity to show off some leg. With any headband and maxi skirt combination, a windswept loose side braid is a must. It is like the cherry on top of a perfect outfit.
