While looking for Fashionista/o’s on campus, I tried to spot the certain girl or boy carrying a classic trend with a contemporary touch. However, with the lack of decent weather and the closer we are getting to final exams and presentations, unfortunately, looking fabulous may be the last thing on a students agenda. Nevertheless, fall is my favorite season and I was determined to find my perfect Fashionista decked out in attire that would raise the bar for college fashion.
To my luck, I found a student who qualified for exactly what I had been searching for. Clean cut and poised, this is the look many students should aim for. First things first, her corduroy bottoms with the boyfriend style fit. This Fashionista took a classic trend and gave it an up-to-date touch. Achieving the boyfriend-jeans look is a risky maneuver. This is a trend that could look really good, or go south really fast. This Fashionista made it work by hiking the waistline a few inches higher and cuffing the bottom of her corduroys, a brilliant success. If you’re looking to pull this look off, I suggest these tips along with finding a pair that hugs your waist and begins to let loose around mid thigh. You may also want to look for celebrities who can pull this style off, some include Rachel Bilson and Jennifer Anniston who are no rookies to this trend.
For the piece that had me green with envy, her loafers. Not only am I happy to see peers obeying fall trends, I’m beyond excited to see that the color nude has tricked its way from summer to fall. Such a great way to kick off the season (pun intended), this is the precise pair of loafers that I have dreams of. Her loafers complimented her boyfriend fit jeans, as they are also a male adopted element. Sam Edelman makes a similar at an affordable price. However, I am truly obsessed with my pair of Prada loafers, a great Christmas wish and a comfortable and lasting choice!
