“Awesome hair; edgy” was the caveman-like thought that crossed my mind when I spotted this Fashionista coming up the steps just outside Red Square. I haven’t had a chance to feature a kick-ass girl in leather or Dr. Martens but luckily Ling came along to provide just that combination. Having just recently purchased tights from ASOS similar to hers I highly recommend duo-toned tights to everyone. They give the illusion of thigh-high socks without the hassle or unsightly “thigh dents” (we all have em’). Check out the “How To” section to find a similar pair!

CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing today and where is it all from?
Ling Chang Schulman: A denim shirt and jacket from Wasteland (a vintage store in Hollywood), shorts and tights from Urban outfitters, a necklace from Nordstrom, a hat by Patricia Field (as worn by G-Dragon in the Bad Boy MV) and Doc Martens.
CF: Question asked by the last Fashionista, Lani Farley: What is one item that you are dying to add to your wardrobe?
LCS: I’m dying to get a BOY LONDON crewneck or their new A-line skirt. So cute!
CF: How would you describe your sense of style and what inspires you to dress the way you do?
LCS: I have no idea how to describe my sense of style! Lately I have been inspired a lot by BIG BANG and 2NE1, but my inspirations have always been pulled from whatever musicians I am listening to. I take a lot from East Asian trends as well as ’80s punk and glam.
CF: What are you excited to wear come spring?
LCS: I’m all about cut up and studded jean shorts and knitted thigh-high socks for spring! I’m also dying to get some more denim shirts in my wardrobe. I’m a huge fan of floral and leather so I’m definitely going to look into leather motorcycle vests to wear over floral prints.
