The post-secondary experience is often synonymous with coffee; lots and lots of coffee. As a student, I am frequently on the hunt for new places to get a warm, caffeinated beverage. David Bowden is a young entrepreneur and owner of one of my favorite local places, Post Espresso. In Post, he has created an inspirational space offering a mix of Scandinavian and Japanese design influences, in addition to a delicious cup of joe. This week, I am pleased to feature David. Through his Instagram account, he demonstrates his appreciation of clean lines, minimalistic design and a love of great coffee.
CollegeDormista: How would you describe your personal style?
David Bowden: I would say clean, straight lines and muted colors – I like gray. I like to wear bright socks, though. I enjoy the idea of having a muted color palette with just one pop of color.
CD: How would you describe your interior design aesthetic?
DB: My favorite stuff is a mix of Scandinavian and Japanese; the best is when you can’t tell where they came together. I like white walls, a slate gray floor; a stark style.
