The end of the semester can only mean a few things—all night study sessions are a weekend regular, Starbucks holiday coffee cups are piling up on your desk and you are anxiously awaiting traveling home for the holidays. Enjoy your last few weeks on campus and give all of your friends an extra squeeze because the end is near, Fashionistas/os!
Whether you’re headed near or far, traveling can either be an exciting adventure or a big ole’ hassle. Well, this fall I’m here to tell you how to make the most of your journeys by staying stylish and snug all the way home! Since Tampa is my hometown, most of my travels this holiday season will be to visiting family and friends while I have time off from school. Dressing comfortably for a day of travel can help make the trip more bearable, but that doesn’t mean you can’t keep fashion in mind as well.
My favorite travel outfit typically consists of leggings, a button-down top and comfy flats. I always make sure to dress on the warmer side to avoid getting chilly — my leather leggings and plaid shirt keep me cozy but are super fun. My animal print flats add some spunk to the look and are still the best shoes for slipping on and off when going through airport security; they’re also easy to kick off so I can relax in the car. I keep my accessories minimal, sticking to my favorite watch, a few bangles and the necessary carryall carry on for all my travel essentials!
Speaking of travel essentials, my top five this holiday season are:
- The perfect tote bag (my black leather Tory Burch bag is golden).
- Copies of Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle, People Style Watch, etc.
- A killer holiday playlist (headphones required).
- Burt’s Bees pomegranate chapstick.
- Iced coffee, and lots of it!
Happy, safe and stylish travels this fall Fashionistas/os!
