FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT: Lacy A.

Fashionista Spotlight

Forget spring cleaning, fall is the perfect time to re-evaluate your wardrobe and find new unique outfits that have been sitting in your closest all along. Whenever fall comes around I tend to notice that my wardrobe seems to get a lot larger. I pull out things I haven’t worn since before the month of May and I tend to get more creative with how I put outfits together. As a college student I am always trying to be conscious of where and how I spend the few dollars I earn, which is why it is so important to utilize the closest I already have and create new unique outfits by layering.

Name: Lacy A.

Major: Park and Recreation

Year: Junior

CollegeFashionista: Can you describe what you are wearing today?

Lacy A: I’m wearing a waterproof rain jacket from Burlington Coat Factory, the brown chords are from Target. I’m also wearing a pair of brown riding boots from Famous Footwear and a floral scarf from Ross.

CF: What is your favorite thing about dressing for the fall?

LA: Layers. I love layers. I get cold easily so I want to make sure I can easily take things on and off and stay warm.

CF: What are some of your inspirations for fashion?

LA. I’ll look for inspiration at Urban Outfitters and Free People but then I’ll shop at a lot of the discount stores like Ross or T.J. Max, also Gap and H&M.

CF: If you could describe your style in three words what would it be?

LA: Relaxed, yet tailored and comfortable.

CF: If you could steal a celebrity wardrobe whose would you take?

LA: Jennifer Anniston, I love her style. She’s very cute and is always well dressed for everything she goes to.

How To: To recreate this look it is really important to pick a color palette and commit. Usually I love mixing patterns and bright colors, but what really struck me about this outfit was the way it simply screamed fall. She also picked three pieces that never go out of style: a pair of neutral chords, riding boots and a floral scarf. This Fashionista paired all three for a fabulous autumn look, but each piece can be worn individually throughout the year.
