During summer vacation, most guys settle in for a laid back look, or merely jean shorts and a T-shirt. However, this Fashionisto caught my eye with his bold leopard print shirt, great vintage bag, and most of all, those fantastic leather cuffed shorts. When it comes to the evolution of men’s fashion for warmer weather, it's come a long way as this Fashionisto proves. For instance, instead of sticking to poster casual wear, men have begun to explore patterns, colors, textures and even different eras of clothing. Men’s fashion has endured a style explosion with slimmer styles and more feminine colors. Men are learning to take a risk with their clothing, and if you wish to do the same, follow in the steps of this chic Fashionisto.

CollegeFashionista: What is one word that you would use to describe your style?
Aziz Vivant: I’m more of a simple guy believe it or not. But I love playing around with any kind of print — especially animal. I like taking a simple piece and dressing it up with a print.
CF: Where is your favorite place to shop?
AV: My favorite place in the city to shop is I Miss You vintage downtown. They have great pieces for men and many fantastic print pieces.
CF: Where do you get your fashion inspiration?
AV: Most of my inspiration comes from the downtown area where I can check out what the crowd is wearing. It’s fun to see how people put things together. I also read the more interesting street style blogs.
CF: What is your favorite piece that you’re wearing right now?
AV: My leather shorts because they fit my body really well and they're comfortable.
How To: To create this Fashionisto’s look, start by hunting down your favorite printed blouse/shirt. Try this subdued floral print tank and pair it with these leather side paneled shorts by Alexander Wang. To complete the outfit, add a pair of Converse sneakers and your favorite vintage satchel.
