FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT: Jordan Tyler

Fashionista Spotlight

As I write my last post for CollegeFashionista, I think about all the people I've interviewed and photographed over the semester. Looking at different people's styles makes me think about my own style and how much it has changed since my freshman year in college. So in my last post I'll be asking our Fashionista about her style evolution over the past four years. The first thing I noticed about this Fashionista is how much I wanted to copy her outfit. She was rocking a fabulous leopard neon top, denim jeans, a straw hat and yellow wedges. Meet Jordan Tyler, newly appointed Belmont senior and die-hard Fashionista.

Name: Jordan Tyler

Major: Journalism

Year: Senior

CollegeFashionista: How has your style changed since freshman year?

Jordan Tyler: Freshman year I wore a lot of blacks and grays but would have pops of color in my shoes or accessories. I also wore a lot of jeans.

CF: How would you describe your style now?

JT: Colorful. I also wear a lot of dresses, I rarely touch my jeans. I also wear heels more than flats.

CF: If you could give any fashion advice to your freshman self, what would it be?

JT: To stock up on the staples. I would blow money on things that were just quick fads and end up giving them to the Goodwill after a season. I should have spent my money on nice staples that would have been more money but so worth it in the long run.

CF: What is your favorite trend right now?

JT: I'm obsessed with these neon colors. I've been stocking up on brightly colored shoes because I don't know when I'll be able to find them again.

How To: To get Jordan's bright look start with the yellow wedges. Then move on to the leopard top, straw hat and blue jeans
