STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Facing the Rain in Style

Style Advice of the Week

This weekend in Oxford, students and visitors felt the sudden drop in temperature and lots and lots of rain. Even though the weather was definitely less than ideal, nobody let that ruin our fun day of tailgating and football. I spotted this Fashionista looking game day ready and prepared for the massive amount of mud that we all had to trek through in the Grove. Her Burberry rain boots did the trick when it came to keeping her feet warm and dry and looked very stylish when paired with the rest of her outfit.

The main attraction of this Fashionista's outfit was her Arc and Co dress, which she purchased at the boutique Lacey Lauren's on the Square in Downtown Oxford. I am absolutely in love with the cobalt blue color of this dress, and the grey belt cinches her waist in just the right place. This Fashionista also made the smart decision of wearing a three-quarter length sleeve, so that she could still stay warm without having to cover up her dress.

Finally, her gold Kate Spade satchel was the perfect size, being not too large to have to lug around all day, but just big enough to fit her pocket-sized umbrella; not to mention it is incredibly chic! This Fashionista definitely came to the game ready to brace the weather in style. She proves that just because the temperature is dropping outside does not mean that our styles need to. In fact, there are so many more chances for Fashionistas to make stylish choices when it comes to staying warm! Instead of allowing the weather to keep you inside, every Fashionista should see this time of year as a way to experiment with different ways to stay warm.
