Style Guru Bio: Fortune Tarantola

Style Guru Bio

I am so excited for the opportunity to contribute to this awesome fashion site! I am currently a student at Sacred Heart University, where I will be enrolling as a senior this upcoming fall. Throughout my 21 years, I have aspired to differentiate myself by using fashion’s unique trends to complement my personality and style. I believe that fashion does not have to be expensive and can be fun on any budget. Being college students, we know what it’s like to struggle with the little money we have. I hope to teach my fellow Fashionistas how to test out the latest fashion trends, at prices everyone can afford.

Ever since I was little, I knew the fashion industry was not only where I wanted to be, but where I belonged. I started out young, rummaging through my mother’s closet to find her six-inch stilettos and leather embellished jackets. My love for clothes, and especially jewelry, are the main reason why I entered the retail world when I was 15, working at a small boutique in my hometown for the past six years. My first experience in the fashion industry was interning for Michael Kors in New York City last summer, which truly confirmed my decision to pursue my dreams: becoming a force in the fashion world.

I currently write for Compulsive Style where I blog fashion how-to’s, as well as write for my own blog called Fortune Teller. My personal style is somewhat simple and classic, although I do like to experiment with different patterns and colors, floral and pink hues being some of my favorites. I believe that jewelry can make an outfit and that a woman’s accessories say a lot about her personal style and taste. So follow me on my journey with CollegeFashionista, as I tackle the latest accessories found on campus, sharing my findings with you along the way!
