The holidays are full of traditions. My traditions consist of making sugar cookies, waiting last minute to buy presents and listening to my grandma loudly sing along to Spanish holiday music on Christmas Eve with my family. Grandma knows how to rock it. But new traditions are fun to start as well. For instance, start a tradition for New Years Eve by going all out with your accessories. This Fashionista is glamming it up with a simple bright dress and added different textures with her scarf and bangles. It’s all in the details.
Name: Kylie Kader
CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing and where did you get it from?
Kylie Kader: I am wearing a bright dress, ankle boots and a scarf. I got most of them from H&M and the boots are from Charlotte Russe.
CF: What are you excited to wear for the next semester?
KK: Next semester I am excited for color! I think I am going to be brave and try the bright colored pants that are pretty popular right now.
CF: What do you think about the ugly sweater trend that is going on right now?
KK: I am not a fan. It was funny at first, now I am ready for that trend to make its way out.
CF: Why do you like to get dressed up?
KK: I enjoy getting dressed up because it’s a fun form of self expression. I dress up in things that are comfortable and that express my funky personality. It makes me feel good about myself!
How To: Start a new tradition with this dress from Dorothy Perkins. Next, add textures with this crocheted scarf from Ruche and dazzle your ears with these Kate Spade earrings. Arm candy is so important. Try any of these bangles from BaubleBar. They have a great selection so you may layer them on top of each other. Go ahead and add this crown ring. It will probably make you feel like a princess. Now that you are set for New Years Eve, I hope your holidays were not only fashionable, but merry as well.
