Jeans and a T-shirt a.k.a. the typical collegiate male uniform. By now many guys have slipped into this comfortable wardrobe of the plain T-shirt and jeans, but what struck me about this week’s Fashionistos is their ability to break the sometimes mundane look with their own personal twist in their outfit. Their outfits are still casual and comfortable, but still put together for a full day of classes.
Name: Will Bogdan (pictured left) Chris Townson (pictured right)
Major: History (WB) Economics (CT)
Year: Sophomore and Junior
CollegeFashionista: Where do you like to shop?
Will Bogdan: Ralph Lauren provides a line of clothing that is both simple and classic, but personally I prefer to wear clothing without labels. I like shopping at department stores for both my everyday look and for dressier clothing.
Chris Townson: My mother has a great sense of style. She always knows where to buy be clothes that I can wear both to class and to my dressier occasions. I trust her to buy my clothes.
CF: What are you excited to wear this fall and winter?
WB: I am really excited to start wearing my sweaters. Being from a small town close to Buffalo, I have acquired over the years a great collection of sweaters that range from simple colors to great patterns. I have roughly 15 sweaters; my mother typically buys them for me.
CT: I can’t wait to wear the scarf my mom knitted for me.
CF: What is your all time favorite piece of clothing?
WB: My favorite piece of clothing would be my Wu-Tang Clan t-shirt.
CT: The Ralph Lauren sweater vest my mom got me over Big Red Weekend. I like it because it can dress it up or dress it down depending on my mood.
How To: To get the look these Fashionistos are wearing make sure to stop by J.Crew and Ralph Lauren to get both day to day basics and dressier clothing options. For boys I recommend getting a pair of Sperry Top-Siders or the Clarks Orginals “Desert” boot for all your style needs.
