This week’s Fashionisto has a fall-ready palette and a combination of casual and sleek that makes his outfit attention worthy. With a pair of gray, straight leg jeans, this Fashionisto keeps his outfit simple, but the cut and color of his pants add a stylish twist. The choice of a purple polo adds a subtly urbane air to the look, making it appropriate for classes, clubs and volunteering around campus. The hue of purple is muted enough to flow nicely with the gray of his pants, while still adding color and life to the look. Finally, the Fashionisto polishes off his outfit with a pair of prep-inspired sneakers to complement the balance of sleekness and comfort. Overall, this Fashioinisto does a spectacular job of creating an easy, debonair look.

CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your personal style?
Mike Stanley: I think I dress casual, but always put together. It’s pretty classic. I definitely wear a lot polos and button-downs. I have a big collection of shoes and sneakers too. I think overall, it’s a mix of preppy and more city.
CF: Who are your fashion influences?
MS: I don’t draw influences from any really specific places. I guess if I had to think, I would probably say other people around me on campus.
CF: What are some of your current favorite trends?
MS: I like a lot of the tennis sneakers out for men right now. Tretorn makes a lot of really cool pairs in different colors and patterns.
CF: What is a staple piece in your wardrobe?
MS: I think all my different jeans and pants are probably the most important things in my closet. I have a lot of darker colors, like these pants, and tend to have a lot of straight or skinnier jeans.
CF: Where are you favorite stores to shop in?
MS: I buy my clothes at a range of stores, from Urban Outfitters to J.Crew.
