From seniors anticipating job interviews, to students searching for the ideal summer internship, every college student knows that the rush of recruitment opportunities and career fairs on campus can be simultaneously exciting and overwhelming. This week, BC’s student body president shows us how to dress for those events and interviews. With a classic navy blue suit, this week’s Fashionisto looks professional and sleek. A streamlined cut, sophisticated colors and tailored touches, this Fashionisto creates an outfit worthy of his presidential status. He makes a smart choice using neutral, classic accessories in his belt and shoes but then lets his personality still shines through in his tie, which adds a pop of color and hint of fun. A bowtie can be another fun and stylish way to add some personality to any suit. Plus, the red and gold pattern along with his eagle pin show off his BC pride!
Name: Chris Osnato
Major: Political Science and Communications
CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your personal style?
Chris Osnato: I would describe the way I dress as typical Boston College. I dress very preppy. I love my Nantucket red pants and plaid boat shoes. While I am usually put together, I am willing to dress casual too.
CF: Who are your fashion influences?
CO: Definitely my mother and aunt, her sister. I get the preppy influence from them. Otherwise, the BC community as a whole helps to dictate my style.
CF: What is a staple piece in your wardrobe?
CO: A large portion of my closet is dedicated to pastels.
CF: What are some of your current favorite trends?
CO: I would say autumnal colors. I also really like non-typical sports jackets with different fabrics and cuts, like tweed. I am also really into cords.
CF: What are some of your favorite stores to shop in?
CO: I shop in Bloomingdale’s, Vineyard Vines and Macy’s.
