Fashionista Spotlight

When scoping out the campus for boys who know how to dress, you can tell the big difference between the boys and the men. Boys usually go for baggy sweats with their boxers sticking out. This Fashionisto definitely knows how to dress like a man. He’s professional but still stylish, and he can make any outfit look like a million bucks.

Name: Zachary Levy

Major: Education

Year: Senior

CollegeFashionista: What are some things that every guy should have in their closet?

Zachary Levy: Absolutely a pair of black lace up boots. They complete almost any outfit during the winter or when your wearing jeans. Also, a good black peacoat because it can be worn in casual or a formal setting.

CF: Where do you like to shop and why?

ZL: My favorite stores are Gap and Express. They have a lot of variety with a wide range of styles. They have something for every occasion and event.

CF: How does your education major influence the way you dress and your style?

ZL: Well, I still have my professional clothes and my everyday clothes. When I am talking to professors and other teachers, I make sure to always look professional because one day I will be in their shoes. Even my everyday clothes always look put together because in order to be a teacher, you need to take school seriously and look presentable. Studying education has definitely impacted my style in a positive way.

How To: This simple and professional look is also simple to re-create. For starters, find a nice black peacoat. As this Fashionisto said above, it’s a must-have for any guy’s closet. He got his from Kenneth Cole New York but you can get one that looks almost exact from Kohl’s. As for his argyle sweater, you can get the exact one on sale at Express for Men. You can also get his exact jeans from the Gap, although any pair of blue jeans will do. His black boots are from Kenneth Cole New York. It is good to invest in a nice pair of boots that you can wear often. The final touch is his awesome Movado watch. Check out the exact one here.
