Happy fall, everyone! I don’t know about you, but my favorite fashion trends of the year are definitely brought to life during the autumn season. Fall does not only bring amazing fashions, but it also brings both national and international fashion weeks. During these fashion events, I have loved seeing fall and spring trends from the runway transition into wearable street attire. When I first spotted this Fashionisto, I noticed some of the trends that I had seen on the runways this fall. In shows such as DKNY and Billy Reid, white jackets had made bold appearances on the catwalk for men’s fashion. Additionally, in fashion shows such as Nautica and Michael Bastien, I noticed a lot of rolled up pants on many of the male models. Whether or not this Fashionisto followed the fashion weeks, it was really great to see these fashions come to life on campus.

How To: Experiment: Go to unusual stores and cities, buy things outside of your comfort zone and combine your findings together to create an outfit. By shopping in many different locations rather than just one, you are able to pair different styles and looks together. I love that this Fashionisto found items from a variety of different locations and successfully paired them all together gracefully. Recreating this look would be simple, but to go out and find a number of different items for one outfit is all about personal preference. Visit a number of different retail stores (or even your and your roommate’s closets) or check out footage from this fall’s fashion weeks for inspiration.
