Fashionisto Spotlight

This semester is almost over and everyone is in the library studying for final exams. So, to the library I went to find this week’s Fashionisto. He was working a casual and comfortable look with neutral colors, which (as we all know by now) are my favorite type of outfits. I stopped him and we chatted for a bit about his outfit, fashion and much more.

Name: Nico Page

Major: Undecided

Year: Freshman

CollegeFashionista: What does fashion mean to you?

Nico Page: Personally, I see fashion as a means to reflect your creativity and progression as a person. I always see my closet constantly changing and growing as I latch on to different styles and looks. Fashion allows me to present multiple facets of myself.

CF: What is your favorite store to shop at?

NP: My favorite store to shop at right now would have to be either Karmaloop or Urban Outfitters; it’s really a toss up. I love Karmaloop due to my preference for streetwear and the diversity they present in their clothing. Urban Outfitters is great because they are so quick to pick up new trends. I also gotta say Ralph Lauren or any Macy’s because it’s classic and timeless. Ralph Lauren will always be relevant in my opinion.

CF: It seems like shoes are important to you, what is your favorite style of shoe?

NP: My favorite style of shoes are probably trainers. I own three pairs of Roshe Runs and consider them the most comfortable shoes I have and they go seamlessly with a lot of my wardrobe. That being said, I’d say my favorite pair of shoes I have in my closet would be my Retro Air Jordan Bred 11’s. To me they’re classics and I’m a big fan of red and black collaborations for any type of clothing or shoes.

CF: If you could take anyone’s wardrobe, who would it be?

NP: If I could have anyone’s wardrobe I think it’d be Nick Young from the Los Angeles Lakers. His instagram is full of so many dope fits and the range of his clothing is something I appreciate. I think something I need in my wardrobe is diversity and variety and being able to wear a range of clothing that is inspired by different movements. He does this effortlessly, not to mention his sneaker collection is absolutely crazy.

How To: If you want a cool and comfortable outfit for finals week listen up and I’ll tell you everything you need to know! First, throw on a white V-neck, a standard and basic shirt that is good for all occasions. Next add a warm jacket for those chilly mornings and pair that with some comfortable jeans. Accessorize with a belt, snapback and your favorite retro Jordan’s.
