FASHIONISTO SPOTLIGHT: Nick Roché

Fashionisto Spotlight

Attending a smaller university like Gonzaga, you frequently see a similar mix of students on a day-to-day basis. As I walk to and from classes amongst the shuffle, I find my gaze on passing student’s outfit and accessories more often than not. Whenever I see this Fashionisto on campus, I can immediately identify him by his fresh kicks. Raised in a family with Nike employees, this week’s Fashionisto knows all about footwear, designers and fashion.

Name: Nick Roché

Year: Junior

Major: Marketing

CollegeFashionista: Where did you get each piece of your outfit?

Nick Roché: I got my jacket at Carhartt, my shirt from a Popupshop in Portland, pants from Exit the Real World and shoes from Nike.

CF: Where do you typically shop?

NR: I typically shop at places in Portland like Exit the Real World, Danner, Patagonia, Urban Outfitters and the Nike employee store.

CF: What is one item you spend the most money on and why?

NR: I spend most or all of my money on shoes because I love shoes! And I feel that they will last longer than most of my clothes.

CF: How do you keep up to date on the latest trends?

NR: I keep tabs on a couple of brands through their blogs. I usually follow Hypebeast on their website.

CF: What are some of your favorite designers or brands?

NR: My favorite brands are Carhartt, Patagonia and Nike. My favorite designer is Ronnie Fieg by far.

How To: Emulate this Fashionisto’s look by combining a patterned button-down with rugged outerwear, like a Carhartt jacket. Next, add a little swag by pairing your look with some kicks, like these Nike+Pendleton collab that were recently released.
