The weather in Iowa is finally hinting that fall is approaching and the ensemble worn by this Fashionisto is proof of it. There is nothing more flattering than to see a man wearing deep black, ashy grays and inky blues. Some may argue that there is something funeral or drab about them, but I would beg to differ.
Name: Eric Baker
Major: International Marketing and Business
CollegeFashionista: Where are your pants from?
Eric Baker: Urban Outfitters.
CF: Where do you usually like to shop?
EB: I am pretty frugal but I like to find the best things on sale racks. I usually buy stuff off-season like I bought my winter coat over the summer.
CF: Would you say you have a definitive sense of style?
EB: I mean I definitely have a style. People would say it’s a little towards the preppy side but I’d like to say it’s more eclectic. I enjoy switching things up. There is definitely some thought put into it.
CF: What influences you to dress the way you do?
EB: I like to travel and I think that reflects in what I wear. I like to get stuff from different states, like the outfit I’m wearing right now. My sweater is from Seattle, my shirt is from Chicago and I got my shoes in Arizona.
CF: What is your favorite thing to wear?
EB: I like stuff that is versatile. Like my watch – I can change out the bands. People think it’s funny but I don’t really care.
How To: Pants this fall will come in many different colors and materials. Personally, I adore the gray this Fashionisto is flaunting, but if you are looking to switch it up, according to the Men’s Market Week in New York, colored cords are planning on being this seasons new style. If you are looking for something more, rather than layering the shirt with a sweater, pair it with your favorite jacket or go for a relaxed look.
