FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT: Hannah Bozenhardt

Fashionista Spotlight

It’s official. Sweater weather is here! For the past couple of weeks, Florida seemed to be exchanging the hot muggy nights for the windy cold ones. Even though it took us awhile to get caught up with the rest of the country, we can finally take out those sweaters from the bottom of our closets and embrace them all winter long. Because sweaters are a popular way to stay comfortable and warm during the winter, why don't you try a bold pattern to stand out from the crowd. This Fashionista is wearing a black and white giraffe printed sweater with a fringe at the end. I think for her, bold is an understatement.

Name: Hannah Bozenhardt

Major: Graphic Design

Year: Junior

CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing and where did you get it from?

Hannah Bozenhardt: The shoes are from Target, the leggings are from Forever 21 and the sweater is thrifted. Then these sunglasses are from eBay. They are Alexander Wang knock offs.

CF: What do you think are the best accessories to have?

HB: Oh man, it’s a big toss up between sunglasses and bags. I think either of them can change your look so much. A different pair of sunglasses can make you look either sweet or you can wear a more menswear inspired aviator and it can give you a more androgynous look. Whereas if you put it with a vintage cat eye style, it can come off as more soft, sweet and feminine.

CF: So how would you describe your accessories with this outfit. What was the look that you were going for?

HB: I was aiming for a mod look today. I have been watching a lot of ‘60s spy film lately. I am all about the really bold patterns, colors and stiff lines.

CF: Is the ‘60s your go to decade for fashion?

HB: Probably that or I really like the flowy peasant style of all the ‘70s clothing. I used to work in retail, so I'm really into draping and menswear inspired stuff.

How To: Go bold or go home with this sweater from Urban Outfitters. It has a gold foiling over the fisherman sweater texture, which gives it that extra something special to wear for the cold season. For the other cold nights that may come, pair this sweater with these shoes for a more casual afternoon with coffee and friends. Staying warm and comfortable doesn't have to be dull and flat.
