Being comfy on campus is definitely a must when it comes to those long days sitting in classrooms and studying in libraries. I spotted this Fashionista on campus in a great outfit, combining comfort with effortless style. I love how she keeps everything in a neutral colour palette and brings in a cool print and different textures through her accessories.
Name: Frances Pabiton
Major: Hospitality and Tourism Management
CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your style?
Frances Pabiton: Sophisticated-urban. I enjoy having a classy look with an urban twist. I'd say a combination of a chiffon top and acid wash jeans (a combination of two styles).
CF: Where do you get your style inspiration?
FP: I get my inspiration from lookbook.nu because I love looking at what others put together. I also like reading Vogue magazine, Teen Vogue and Loulou Magazine to see what latest fashions are making their mark in the fashion world.
CF: What are some of your wardrobe staples?
FP: A cardigan, blazer and white V-neck.
CF: Who are your celebrity style icons?
FP: I'd have to say my celebrity influence would be a Korean girl group 2ne. The four members all have different bold styles, which I like to see! People who take risks and aren't afraid to stand out and make a statement.
CF: If money weren’t an issue, what one item would you love to splurge on?
FP: I'd have to say shoes, because for me, they totally complete the outfit! Shoes get you to where you have to go and just rocking the right pair of shoes can enhance your outfit.
How To: Start off with black leggings and a loose fitting top. Then throw on a sweater or cardigan with an edgy bold print, but still keeping to those neutral tones. Finish up with a large bag with fur accents, a black knitted wraparound scarf and a pair of lace-up boots. Keep your jewelry simple like this Fashionista with a small necklace and thin bracelets. You can also add a chic watch to top it all off.
