With finals just around the corner it is hard to not slip into sweats and a T-shirt and call it a day. I spotted this Fashionista on campus wearing a staple leather jacket and loved the combination of neutral colors together and the comfiness of the outfit.

CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your style?
Emma Bosley-Smith: I would describe my style as relaxed. I think it's important to be comfortable in your clothes.
CF: Where do you like to shop?
EBS: I really love to shop at thrift stores. It's great when you find something adorable for a great price. I am also a fan of Forever 21 and H&M. H&M is great to find basic staple items like plain sweaters or long sleeve shirts. Forever 21 has fun, colorful items and I love their dresses.
CF: What are some staple items in your closet?
EBS: I wear a lot of maxi skirts, I also love to wear guys' dress shirts and sweaters. I found some awesome boots over winter break when I was thrifting that I've been wearing all the time (the ones in my picture). My ideal comfy outfit is leggings, boots, an oversized sweater and a scarf.
How To: Leather jackets are great for just throwing on and tying together a whole outfit, like this Fashionista has done. Urban Outfitters offers the perfect leather jacket that can be worn with absolutely everything, but if you are looking for a biker jacket with more of an edge look to ASOS for this studded motorcycle jacket. However, if you are someone that thinks the leather jacket trend is not for you, fear not because there are alternatives. A growing trend is the contrast leather sleeves jackets. Zara has a great option for a jacket that is still has some edge to it with some leather contrasts on the shoulders and sleeves.
