Summer brings us sunshine and freedom, but unfortunately, it also means it’s my last post for my CollegeFashionista internship this year. I’ve loved being able to discover all of the different styles that populate Penn’s diverse campus and showcasing them for all of you this past semester. My last post is dedicated to all that is related to the casual, carefree personality of summer — and that’s exactly what today’s outfit represents. Squinting from the harsh sunlight (that’s a first), Elizabeth is rocking dark camel shorts, white Sperrys, feather earrings and a light denim jacket. Here’s to summer 2012, everyone!
Name: Elizabeth Frost
CollegeFashionista: What is your favorite thing about style?
Elizabeth Frost: My favorite thing about style is the fact that no one will have the same style as me. I love being creative with my body and my style. As one of the editors of a fashion and culture magazine, I have discovered how influential style can be in someone's life. That is truly inspirational to me because everyone can always relate to style.
CF: Where is your favorite place to shop?
EF: My favorite place to shop is a boutique on Pacific Coast Highway (in California) called Harpers. All of the clothing changes according to the weather and they're always cute. I love supporting this shop because it's a local store and locally owned.
CF: How would you describe your own style in three words?
EF: Comfortable, easy and California.
CF: What's something that you currently can't live without?
EF: Right now I can't live without my white Sperry Top-Siders. I wear them practically every day and they go with everything that I wear.
How to: Dress appropriately for the summer in a bright, simple white tank, an open button-down and some cute textured shorts.
