It seems as though Toronto has switched into winter mode, getting students to break out the heavy coats, thick scarves and boots. I spotted this Fashionista on a chilly afternoon on campus looking warm and stylish. I love how she pairs contrasting textures, creating a perfect edgy meets Parisian chic look.

CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your style?

Caryn Ceolin: I like to describe my style as a mix of Grey Gardens grunge and Parisian chic.

CF: What should every Fashionista have in her closet?

CC: Every Fashionista should have a great leather jacket. Not only is it a classic piece, but the leather will age differently for everyone, adding personal character to the garment.

CF: Where do you get your fashion inspiration?

CC: I get my fashion inspiration from the pages of Elle, Zink, W Magazine and any gothic romantic art and photography.

CF: Whose closet would you love to raid?

CC: I would kill to raid the closets of Mary Kate and Ashley and Margherita Missonithey define everything I wish to emulate!

CF: What is your favourite part about fall fashion?

CC: Everything! The colours, the layering, the fabricsfall fashion is the ultimate.

How To: Start off with a comfy long-sleeved shirt and add a shaggy sherpa or faux fur type of jacket. Then throw on either black skinny jeans or leather leggings and a killer pair of black patent leather combat boots. Finish it off with a grey toque and a classy leather tote.
