I love it when a Fashionista mixes up different colors and styles into one ensemble. A mix of different colors, patterns and textures helps to pull an outfit together. Also when a Fashionista adds bright accents it really makes a look pop. This week's Fashionista mixes a light chambrey denim top with black jeans and combat boots, a pashmina scarf and a bag that stand out and brings the outfit together.

CollegeFashionista: What's your favorite way to accessorize an outfit?
Brianna Harrison: My favorite way to accessorize an outfit right now is either with a printed scarf, a scarf that adds a pop of color or a chunky necklace.
CF: Where do you get your style inspiration?
BH: I usually get my style inspiration from looking at blogs like Lookbook.nu. I'm absolutely obsessed with looking at the way other people take simple pieces and make them their own. I usually see what they're wearing and try to put my own spin on it.
CF: How do you normally wear a scarf with an outfit?
BH: I usually wear my scarves with an oversized chunky sweater, a denim shirt or a simple button-up. I love the way they dress up an outfit without me having to try too hard.
CF: What's your favorite place to buy accessories?
BH: My favorite places to buy accessories are Forever 21 and H&M. They don't usually last long but I like to switch up my jewelry and accessories anyways so they're great for finding cheap ways to find that missing piece to complete an outfit.
CF: What's your favorite item of clothing or accessory for this season?
BH: My favorite items for this season are definitely any of my chunky sweaters. They're super comfortable, warm and really easy to dress up when I need to get ready and I don't have a lot of time.
CF: Do you have any celebrities or designers you get fashion inspiration from?
BH: I would say I get some of my style inspiration from Rihanna. Not necessarily in the way she dresses but in her fearlessness in trying new trends. I'm definitely not as brave as her but she makes me pick up things in the store I normally wouldn't; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. She also always looks so effortless, which I think is the coolest thing about the way she dresses. The pieces don't usually look like they're supposed to go together but she makes them work.
How To: Do you want this Fashionista’s look? Try wearing a chambray button–down top with a pair of black skinny jeans. Next add a printed pashmina scarf and a pair of studded combat boots. Finally add a brown fringe cross shoulder bag to complete the look.
