Well folks, it’s the calm before the storm. We’re getting to that point in the semester where the full-fledged procrastination sets in. Thanksgiving break (more importantly, Black Friday) is right around the corner, there’s a lull in our typically heavy workloads, and pressing that snooze button becomes much more acceptable during these lazy pre-finals weeks. Though we all pride ourselves on our ever-so fashionable daily ensembles, sometimes you just have to let yourself sleep an extra 20 minutes and sport something a little more casual. This is the point where you take the plunge and rekindle the seasonable romance you share with the most comfortable winter basic of all time—the pullover sweater. I spotted this Fashionista looking relaxed and casual-chic as she left a group study session in the library. Rocking an adorably effortless get-up, she shows us all how to stay cute while making comfort your top priority.
Name: Bash Boksa
College Fashionista: How would you describe your personal style?
Bash Boksa: Very simple and relaxed. I like to dress casual during the week with solid colors, loose shirts, combat boots, or knee-high boots.
CF: What is your favorite look to rock for class?
BB: Leggings and boots are always easy to match with a loose shirt or sweater and they're still cute and fun. I would say that's my go-to look for class.
CF: How do you transition your wardrobe from daytime to nighttime?
BB: I can easily take my daytime look and turn it into a nighttime look by adding some statement jewelry and more vamp makeup. A pair of heels always seems to do the trick too!
CF: What is your go-to accessory?
BB: Probably a large canvas bag that I can just throw everything into and swoop over my shoulder. I love dainty purses but a huge hobo is ideal for school and traveling. Also, gold or silver hoop earrings becasue they are so chic and match everything!
How To: Sport a comfy look just like Bash’s by going back to the basics. Start with a pair of opaque black leggings and some above-the-knee black leather boots—every college girl’s signature look. A quirky printed pullover and some dainty gold accessories immediately take this laid-back outfit from drab to fab! A bold printed tote is perfect for lugging around all of the class essentials; like this Fashionista’s Tiffany blue-covered laptop. Don’t be afraid to embrace the easiness of effort-free fashion this winter—after all, no one’s ever complained about the amount of time it takes to dress it down.
