During our recent Missouri heat wave, Fashionistas all over campus have been switching back and forth between shorts and tights. But every Fashionista knows that sequins are appropriate for every occasion and season. They are like the champagne of the closet and they look good on everyone. Spicing up sequins is easy but transitioning sequins into daytime wear proves to be the hard part. This Fashionista sealed the deal with a sequin beaded skirt and a cool pair of neutral boots.
Name: Ashley Aspinwall
Major: Textile and Apparel Management
College Fashionista: Tell me about what you're wearing today.
Ashley Aspinwall: I got this skirt on Cyber Monday from All Saints. I had to figure out a way to wear it during the daytime because I was too excited to wait till I had an event. I paired it with a Gap turtle neck, some Jeffrey Campbell boots, and an Alexander Wang bucket bag to dress it down.
CF: Who is your style inspiration?

CF: What style advice do you have for other Fashionistas?
AA: Just go with it. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks! Fashion should make you happy and not be taken too seriously.
