This Fashionista showed her strength when she composed this beautiful outfit. She mixed a tribal print cardigan with neon nails…how clever! Each instrument of this Fashionista’s attire played in perfect harmony with the other.

CollegeFashionista: How does your style differ from others?
Zhiyuan Li: I just follow my heart! I do not like following others’ styles.
CF: How do you bring your inspiration into reality?
ZL: Sometimes I look through fashion magazines. If there is some outfit or items that I really like, I will change them to fit my style.
CF: Do you believe style is something that you are born with, or something that can be taught?
ZL: In my opinion, half you are born with. The other half, you can be taught. You should have talent in the art of styling, but studying is also important.
CF: How important are designer items, in a Fashionista/os wardrobe?
ZL: I think they are important. Different designers have different inspirations. You can mix those items into your style.
How To: Add some flair to your look by incorporating things that show your personality. This Fashionista used orange nail polish and cute kitties on her feet! However, you don’t have to mimic her. There are many items that can add a burst of your personality into your outfit. Whatever your interests may be, you can find items that display them. Accessories are the perfect items to start with. Statement necklaces provide an excellent way, for any Fashionista to scream “THIS IS WHO I AM!”
