This Fashionista was by far the most stunning Fashionista I have come across on campus. From her color popping heels to her timeless vintage dress, she is nothing but worthy of a spotlight! I don’t know if it was her spunky colored hair or just the great personality she had to match the clothes but both had me hooked on this vintage look! This outfit will have you running to Richmond’s new thrift shop, Bianca Flair!
Name: Victoria Sterling
Major: Fashion Merchandising
CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing?
Victoria Sterling: I am wearing a thrifted black dress from a new thrift shop that opened on VCU’s campus called Bianca Flair. The shoes are Steve Madden!
CF: How would you describe your style?
VS: I would describe my style as being very unique. I wear what most people wouldn’t wear and I’m always looking to put different things together. I love to step out of the box and try new things together. The clothes don’t make me, I make the clothes fit with my personality and for what occasion I’m going to.
CF: What is your favorite garment in your wardrobe?
VS: My favorite garment in my wardrobe would have to be my high-waisted shorts. They go with anything! You can dress them down and they fit perfectly with my body shape.
CF: Where is your favorite place to shop in Richmond?
VS: I really don’t have a specific favorite place to shop in Richmond but I do love all the different thrift stores. I’m always finding unique things for a really good price.
CF: What is your favorite summer accessory?
VS: My favorite summer accessory would have to be my black seatbelt-strap flat sandals. They literally go with anything! They are so comfortable to wear since I’m always walking everywhere.
How To: To achieve the perfect classic look like that of this Fashionista, try a very formal dress but wearing it with a more playful heel. When having to dress up, you don’t have to take the outfit so seriously. You want to look professional yet still stand out in your own way. Adding vintage to modern pieces can sure get you a long way. You just have to be willing to search for the treasure!
