Summer nights are always majestical because you never know what is going to happen. Being able to hang out with a cool summer breeze blowing while a bunch of your friends wine and dine is truly an art. Summer nights are fun because you get to wear the outfit that you wore to the pool earlier with some wedges and call it “summer chic.” That’s just what this Fashionista’s outfit is: summer chic.
Name: Sydney Lotz
CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your style?
Sydney Lotz: My style is pretty classic but I always like to add something kind of unexpected. I always love a cool headband or a nice scarf. I think I am more trendy in colder weather and more simple during the summer.
CF: What trend were you happy to see go out of style?
SL: I have never really taken a liking to the chevron print that has kind of become a fad; especially in the south. I think its overrated and too easy. I also really didn’t like Hollister and I am so happy that people only wore that in middle school.
CF: Who do you wish you could trade clothes with?
SL: Taylor Swift. I loved her back in the day when she was a natural beauty with cowboy boots and I love her hipster side even more today. Her music is pretty fun to dance around to!!
How To: A tie-front sleeveless blouse is the way to start this trendy summer look. Be bold and find one with a cool print or texture. Next step is to find some fitted short shorts. (Tip: If your top is neutral go for bold mini-shorts, and if your top is printed find a simpler pair of bottoms.) Remember to add a neutral wedge and some earrings! Now you’re summer chic too!
