In college, it is demanding to keep up with a busy, ever-changing schedule. With summer internships ending and fall semester right around the corner, we are trading our shades for frames and exchanging late nights with friends with all-nighters in the library. While it lasts, we are spotted taking comfort in classically chic summer looks. This Fashionista rocks her own take on high-end fashion with a casual look that stylishly and appropriately takes her from classes, to the office and around campus.
Name: Sarilee Rybar
Major: Public Relations
CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing and where is it from?
Sarilee Rybar: My sleeveless top is from Nordstrom, black skirt from Forever 21, the bracelet from an adorable boutique and my glasses are Michael Kors!
CF: Where do you typically shop?
SR: I do a lot of my shopping at Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, J.Crew, Jack Wills, Forever 21 and little boutiques I find. Boutiques are great because they are so fun to shop in and you can find original pieces that will set your wardrobe apart from others.
CF: What is your favorite season to dress for and why?
SR: In the fall, you see a lot of bolder textures, layering and rich colors and I think that’s why it’s my favorite. I also love that everything is oversized, from sweaters to jewelry.
CF: What will you be wearing a lot this fall?
SR: You’ll almost always find me in a pair of classic boots that will take me from class to a night out. I especially love my booties because you can wear them with so many different outfits and still add a couple inches of height.
CF: What’s next on your shopping list?
SR: Chanel blush! Makeup is an underrated accessory.
How To: This Fashionista shows us how to put together an outfit that is simple yet sophisticated. “Skater” skirts, like this one, are perfect for every occasion! Try pairing the skirt with a sleeveless top while around campus or in the office and a crop top to transform this look into the night. As the season shifts, add a cardigan and boots to adjust to the weather.
