The first day of classes is always the best day to spot Fashionistas/os on campus. It’s a fresh start to a new semester so why not look fresh and fashionable? Although it was raining, Fashionista/os still managed to look super trendy. This Fashionista’s patterned coral and blue skirt immediately caught my eye! The simple white tank top complements the intricate and artsy patterns of the maxi skirt. Her high top messy bun portrays her casual sense of style. Be sure to get to know this Fashionista and learn about her sense of style!
Name: Sarah Scales
CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your personal style?
Sarah Scales: I think it’s a mixture between bohemian style and being comfortable. I like to wear something casual that you can just throw on.
CF: What types of clothing will you be wearing this fall?
SS: In the fall I will be wearing lots of scarves because they’re a great accessory for any outfit. I will also be wearing jeans mixed with colorful tops and knit sweaters with rider boots, both brown and black.
CF: What is your favorite piece of clothing in this outfit?
SS: The skirt. It has fun colors and patterns and you can dress it up with any shoe.
CF: Where do you like to shop?
SS: I like Forever 21, H&M and Kohl’s. Kohl’s has some very cute stuff; I actually got this skirt from Kohl’s.
CF: What is your definition of a Fashionista/o?
SS: I think a Fashionista is someone who can put on anything and rock it. They can wear a T-shirt and a sweatshirt and know how to put it together to look fabulous.
How To: This fun outfit can be worn on summer vacation or even on the way to class. Wear a crop top that does not clash with the design (stick to neutral colors such as beige, black or white). Pair it with a maxi skirt that expresses your style. To dress up this outfit, wear your hair down and accessorize the look with wedge sandals.
