Fashionista Spotlight

There is nothing more classic than a black and white outfit. I spotted this Fashionista on the way to class and found out she was going to her first day of work for her new job. Whether it is the dead of winter or middle of summer there is not a more chic look than black and white. When trying to impress an employer at an interview or first day on the job, you can never go wrong with a cute pair of pants and top to match. I can tell that this Fashionista knows how to dress for success.

Name: Sarah Bouplon

Major/Minor: Fashion Merchandising/Marketing

Year: Junior

CollegeFashionista: Where is your outfit from?

Sarah Bouplon: I got both the shirt and pants from Forever 21.

CF: What would you say is your style inspiration?

SB: I am inspired by many things including colors, patterns and textures.

CF: If you could go back in time, which decade of fashion would you want to live in?

SB: The 1920s for sure!

CF: What is your fashion staple?

SB: I’ve got to say leggings. They are so comfy and you can either dress them up or down depending on the occasion.

CF: If you could, which celebrity’s closet would you raid?

SB: I would raid Emma Watson’s closet because she is magical!

How To: Start with a pair of black and white pants. They can either be striped and subtle like this Fashionista’s or they can patterned and outrageous like this pair. Either way you can not go wrong. Next, pair the pants with a cute lace top and add a pair of black earrings. To spice up this look replace the boots with a fun pair of heels like this black pair or this snake skin ones.
