Summer is finally here for students at Central Michigan University, and we couldn’t be more excited. The days of shorts, flip flops and bright colors are finally upon us. Some of us plan to spend our days soaking up the sun while others will occupy their time with their professional summer internships. Either way, Fashionistas everywhere will finally be able to express themselves without covering up with a boring bulky coat. ‘Tis the season for sundresses, so make sure you are fully stocked for the next few months. This Fashionista instantly caught my eye with her sundress and denim vest. I loved how the subtle hints of blues in her dress popped, they even matched her nails! She paired the dress with a pair of riding boots. For jewelry, she opted for a mixture of silver and rose gold accessories which dressed the ensemble up even more. Overall, this Fashionista was the poster child for summer. So, hop outside and enjoy the sunshine. This is the time of the year to experiment with different looks and discover your personal style.

RM: I get most of my fashion inspiration from magazines.
CF: Has your style changed at all in the past year? If so, how?
RM: My style has changed this past year. It used to be very plain and boring, now I actually think about what I’m going to wear!
How To: This Fashionista’s outfit would be absolutely perfect to wear to an outdoor concert this summer. The look can be easily recreated, with sundresses and boots. For some extra comfort you could swap out the boots for some fringe sandals, or pastel ballet flats!
