Saving the absolute best for last! This has to be my favorite spotlight of the entire semester. Who says petite girls can’t wear large and bolder pieces? This Fashionista was spotted rocking wide green pants and an oversized striped blazer. Instead of letting the pieces swallow up her small frame, she owns her look and it works on so many levels. To counter her masculine attire, she’s added a pair of heels along with a cute cream-colored crop top for some added feminine flair.
Name: Rachael Kopp
CollegeFashionista: Tell us about your outfit.
Rachael Kopp: My blazer, pants and necklace are from windsorstore.com, my top is from Topshop, my shoes are from Stepz and my watch is from GoJane.
CF: What’s the greatest fashion risk you’ve ever taken?
RK: The greatest fashion risk I’ve ever taken is right now. I love playing with different textures, patterns and having fun while figuring out what works.
CF: How would you describe your personal style?
RK: I would describe my style as bohemian. I like the laid-back feel of bohemian pieces but I still love to add things to my outfits that make them more representative of my personal style—like statement necklaces or dressy tops.
CF: What’s the best piece of style advice you’ve ever received?
RK: The best piece of style advice I’ve ever received is from my mom—she made me conscious of choosing clothing that fit my height and body. I’m very petite, which often means not necessarily going for things that are “trendy.”
How To: Choosing clothes for petite girls can sometimes be a difficult thing—you want to make sure your tiny frame doesn’t end up getting lost in all the fabric. To try out your own version of this Fashionista’s look check out this blazer, crop top and mid-rise cargo pants from Nordstrom.
