This aspiring Fashion Broadcast Journalist from Houston, Texas stands out amongst my fellow Spelman sisters. This Fashionista clearly has her own style that is recognizably Precious. She is a fashion columnist with TBA Magazine, a local Atlanta magazine that was founded by Ain Ealy, a current Spelman student, and it is set to be sold nationally in 2013. Precious was also able to get an in-school internship with Newsbreak at Clark Atlanta University (a neighboring college in the Atlanta University Center Consortium). At Spelman, she was one of the stylists for our Homecoming Fashion Show, which is a very big deal in the city of Atlanta. Her blog, Junk Jew. Be. Lee., featuring her style portfolio, reports on trends and glimpses into her busy, fashion-filled life, has become an inspiration for my own Fashion blog, Under Houston’s Spel. This Spelmanite is someone to keep an eye on.
Name: Precious Enaohwo
CollegeFashionista: Has Spelman College influenced your style in any way shape form or fashion?
Precious Enaohwo: Before coming to Spelman I pretty much knew where my style in fashion stood, but now being here, not only has Spelman furthered my taste, but it has enunciated it.
CF: Who or what inspires your style?
PE: I’m really just inspired by the daily components of life. Someone walking down the street with a dope outfit inspires me more than anything. I use life as my inspiration.
What does your style say about you?
PE: My style says that I am a non conformist that plays by my own rules, knows exactly what I want out of life, but wouldn’t be scared by a curve ball.
CF: Who is a current style icon that you admire, and why do you admire them?
PE: I have a few muses: Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, and KESH. I admire them because I can tell that I have a similar mind set with them all, and it shines through their wardrobe.
CF: What are your style goals?
PE: To reach new heights by exceeding fashion taboos, and going beyond the expected, simply by wearing or doing something that no one has ever done before and execute it to the fullest. And hopefully be able to share that with the world.
How To: This neutral color outfit has attitude. Precious wears dark jeans cuffed at the bottom, a black shirt, with a white button-up sweater (with big brown buttons) and black boots. To add even more sass, try these knee high black boot heels over your jeans. Also you can try a different color sweater instead of white. And before you walk out the door, throw a cute black hat on like this Fashionista.
