FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT: Patricia Saravia

Fashionista Spotlight

I don’t know about you but I absolutely cannot wait for fall because I love wearing pants and leggings. In my mind you can do so much more with an outfit by pairing and layering it with some pants rather than shorts. One trend I’ve been seeing a lot since the beginning of summer are these beautiful aztec/tribal prints. The popularity amongst these prints placed on pants and shorts are starting to be seen everywhere. The weather at East Carolina just recently started to change so I’m excited to see all these new fall outfits come together. I spotted this Fashionista walking back from class rocking her matching oversized bag and gorgeous tribal print pants. Keep reading to find out more about her outfit!

Name: Patricia Saravia

Major: Nursing

Year: Junior

College Fashionista: What are you wearing?

Patricia Saravia: My pants are from a little boutique in downtown Raleigh, my shirt is from Forever 21, my shoes are from Target and my bag is from T.J. Maxx.

CF: What’s your favorite item in your closet?

PS: Just this plain black maxi dress I just bought.

CF: What inspires your style?

PS: Honestly, just comfort. I do love Pretty Little Liars and I like to see what they all wear on that show.

CF: What’s your favorite season for fashion and why?

PS: My favorite season would be fall because I love how diverse the weather is so you can wear shorts with a sweater or layer your jeans with cute scarves.

How to: Start your obsession with tribal prints now, because you’re going to be seeing these a lot! If you haven’t already, you can find some cute patterned tribal print tops, skirts, shorts and pants at almost any store nowadays. To get a look like Patricia’s it’s simple. First, choose your tribal print item of clothing like these cute pants. Keep the top of the outfit plain because you don’t want it to be too busy. You can never go wrong with a black top. If it’s loose, tuck it into the pants to add some dimension. Stay comfortable walking around and pair it with sandals or flats and minimal jewelry. Grab an oversized bag to carry your books instead of a regular backpack to add some flare too! All together you’ll capture the eyes of every girl around you with your gorgeous tribal prints.
