Boho-chic is a style that I don’t think will ever “go out.” I mean, who wouldn’t want to be comfortable, stylish and pay homage to the ‘70s all in one ensemble? Although I’m not a fan of the headbands across the forehead and the large amounts of fringe that often come with this hippie-inspired trend, I think they work in small doses. The fashion elements of the boho trend, such as high-waisted wide leg jeans, bold patterned tops, oversized sunglasses and wedge sandals, are ones that I think complement other styles well.
This Fashionista, who was headed to the quad for a relaxing afternoon, captured the essence of boho-chic with her green maxi skirt and knotted top. Even though her outfit doesn’t involve a denim vest and fringe boots, she still captures the essence of the relaxed and stylish trend.

How To: If you want to achieve a boho inspired ensemble like this Fashionista has done, start with a maxi skirt. If you don’t think you’re tall enough to sport a long skirt, opt for a flowy dress and wedge sandals instead. For those of you who wear maxi skirts all summer, knot a loose fitting top or button-down on top and wear a lightweight sweater to combat any potential breeze. Throw on a pair of neutral toned sandals and you’ll be set for a low-key and comfortable afternoon.
