It’s that time of year again! Fashionista’s have begun to practice their fall regimen and I must say I couldn’t be happier. Denim shorts and tanks are being swapped out for patterned leggings and cozy sweaters. Not to mention, booties are being rocked everywhere. I spotted this week’s Fashionista making her fall debut on Gonzaga’s campus, dressed in deep hues and some staple pieces for the upcoming season.
CollegeFashionista: What brands are your outfit composed of?
Molly Dohoney: My booties are Steve Madden, Brandy Melville sweater and Mossimo leggings.
CF: What is your favorite season to dress for and why?
MD: Summer! It is much easier to throw on a dress versus picking out pants, a shirt, sweater and boots. Plus, everything looks and feels better when you’re tan!
CF: What is your favorite item in your closet?
MD: I have a vintage Patagonia blue, half-zip windbreaker from the ’80s. My boyfriend found it on eBay for only $30!
CF: What would you never be caught wearing?
MD: I have a few lines I would never cross. Some of which include Ed Hardy, fur or kitten heels.
CF: What the your next must-have item on your shopping list?
MD: Citizens of Humanity ‘Rocket’ skinny jeans!
How To: Pack up the pastels and sandals from summer and opt for a deeper color, such as maroon, forest green or deep navy. An easy way to add fall versatility to your look is to mix and match neutral colors with texture and pattern, such as this Fashionista’s leggings and sweater. My favorite fall accessory to add to any fall ensemble is the perfect pair of booties, like these.
