The sun has finally peeked out in Davis and girls can start anxiously pulling out their cute chiffon blouses again. I spotted this Fashionista after my morning class sporting a button-up tank that sums up her color-blocked look. She kept it simple and chic with tight fitting pants and a slicked back ponytail. It was refreshingly different from the usual “don’t bother me, I’m studying” vibe permeating campus since midterm season has started. Suiting up in a sweatshirt and jeans couldn’t sound more appealing on a lazy cold morning, but this Fashionista’s daring and edgy outfit inspired me to do otherwise. Her edgy ensemble has shown me that students still keep fashion in mind despite the fact that our brains want to explode as the stressful half of the quarter begins.

How To: First find a chiffon button-up; Forever 21 is a great place to find an affordable one. I liked that she paired her color-blocked top with maroon jeans–it brightened up her look that consisted of mostly neutral colors. Try this top from Urban Outfitters, it gives your basic tank top a flare with the peplum fit. I liked that she finished her outfit with a motorcycle jacket giving her an edgy look for school. However the weather is warming up and you may want to save your motorcycle, bomber and other cute tailored jackets for the fall. Switch it up and layer a light cardigan on top of your tank–keep an eye out for cute embellished ones that are perfect for spring! Top your look off with statement jewelry, and lots of it! I loved this Fashionista’s chain earrings, as long earrings that dangle give off a feminine look. I would also accessorize this look with thick metal bangle bracelets and chunky necklaces. Spring is all about the little things, so it’s almost time to bring out the cute accessories. I love accessorizing an outfit because even something simple as an ear cuff or a gaudy necklace can vamp up an outfit instantly!
