When planning an outfit for class in the winter (or sometimes any season), the typical desire is to change from your pajamas into a more appropriate version of them – sweats. With cold weather comes laziness and a need for warmth. Sadly, this means that fashion moves to the back burner and is replaced by hoodies, UGG boots and sweatpants. However this Fashionista doesn’t let chilly temperatures stop her from looking stylish. Lea Lytle shows us how she uses boots, scarves and other accessories to keep her warm and fashionable despite chilly Midwestern weather.
Name: Lea Lytle
CollegeFashionista: What’s your all time favorite, go-to item in your closet right now?
CF: What’s your favorite season to shop for?
LL: My favorite season to shop for is definitely fall, I love pairing sweaters with leggings. There’s also more items to choose from for fall, like boots and scarves.
CF: What are your favorite stores to shop at?
LL: My favorite two stores are H&M and Nordstrom. The BP section in Nordstrom is my favorite.
How To: Switch out your classic black leggings for an unexpected alternative. Adding a different texture or print to an outfit can make a huge statement. Try leather, velvet or printed tights for a fun twist on a classic look.
