Fashionista Spotlight

Studying for finals can be a drag but not when one has an adorable outfit like this Fashionista. This Fashionista styles her ensemble with vibrant jewelry to spice up her ordinary day-to-day outfit. Her chestnut pointed-toe ankle booties are one of my favorite parts of this outfit.

Name: Lauren Moline

Year: Junior

Major: Marketing and Sales

CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing today?

Lauren Moline: I wearing a top from Paperdoll and some leggings that are from Topshop. My chestnut booties are from Macy’s, my flower bracelet is from Francesca’s and the watch is Fossil.

CF: How would you describe your personal style?

LM: I would describe my style as being cute, clean and comfortable. My style varies depending on what my day has in store, yet my outfit remains comfortable with a little bit of sass.

CF: Whats your favorite season to dress for and why?

LM: My favorite season to dress for is fall. My go-to outfit for fall would be a flannel, a chunky necklace and a watch with bold shoes. Whether I throw on booties, Vans, combats or wedges, shoes always play up a chill outfit.

CF: If you could raid any fashion icon’s closet who would it be and why?

LM: When choosing one fashion icon’s closet to raid I don’t think I could choose just one. It would range from Lucy Hale’s pretty and playful attire to Meghan Markle’s classy yet chic wardrobe. Between going from a busy day of work, to a night out on the town these two stylish ladies have it all.

CF: How does exam week impact your fashion ensemble?

LM: Exam week is a stressful time for every college student and has a large impact on ones attire ranging from all-nighter’s in the library to group projects between exams. During exam week I dress relaxed yet neat and clean. When you look good, you feel good, and hopefully you’ll perform well.

CF: Where do you like to shop and why?

LM: My favorite place to shop is Marshalls and local boutiques. Being a college student on a budget and dressing well is an ongoing battle. When shopping at Marshalls I always feel as if I’m playing the lottery. I go in expecting not to find much but sometimes I hit the jackpot and win big.

CF: What three items can you not live without in your closet?

LM: Three items I could not live without in my closet would be a vest, jeggings and slip-on shoes. All of these are basic add-ons and will spice up any college girl’s outfit.

How To: To incorporate a look like this Fashionista’s start off with a pair of leggings and a tank top with embroidery. Don’t forget to add fun vibrant jewelry to spice up the outfit and some great shoes!
