This Fashionista has gone back into the ’90s and reinvented the denim overalls. She has traded the ’90s acid wash baggy denim overalls for a pair of dark, fitted ones. Then, she adds a flouncy lace blouse to this boyish look. This Fashionista gives another nod to the ’90s with a pair of creative and chic embellished Converse All-Stars. The key to tying this outfit together is a light pink lip and a killer smile.

CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your style?
Ku Sherwood: I wouldn’t necessarily say I have one distinct style. I tend to dress however I’m feeling that particular day of the week. Sometimes I have a very androgynous style and other times I have a more girly or flirty style. Also, I find myself mixing girly cuts & prints with menswear inspired pieces such as loose jeans and Converse All-Stars.
CF: What style advice would you give to girls moving into New York City?
KS: The great thing about New York City is that you truly can wear whatever your heart desires. Just walking in the city, you’ll notice that the people who stand out the most are people who wear what they love and are confident in what they’re wearing.
CF: If your closet could only be one designer, which would you choose?
KS: It’s hard to just pick considering I like to mix and match, but if I really only had to pick one, I’d choose Zara. Not only is it affordable, it’s also always on top of the latest trends and tends to many different styles.
How To: Create this girly yet boyish look by dressing up a pair of old school denim overalls. Keep the outfit simple and add feminine crop top. You can play around with some crazy sneakers to take your outfit to the next level like this Fashionista did. Accessorize your look with a light lip and some fun bracelets.
