Whether we like it or not, we are definitely walking in a winter wonderland on campus this February. With temperatures dropping low, trees covered in snow, this Fashionista wears an edgy hooded scarf that certainly steals the show. We all are familiar with the current trend of infinity scarves, however, it would not hurt to mix it up and try a hooded scarf. Plus, hooded scarves might even keep you a little warmer because they can fashionably cover your head and neck. Celebrities are wearing them, and I know if Audrey Hepburn was still around she would be wearing one too. They are starting to become available at almost every shop including Topshop and ASOS. The look is sophisticated, yet still keeps you warm. Talk about a win-win here.
Name: Kristin Sullivan
Major: Supply Chain and Information System
CollegeFashionista: What is your favorite thing to wear in the winter?
Kristin Sullivan: My favorite thing to wear would probably have to be my American Apparel leggings. They’re so comfortable, and so easy to wear to class or to lounge. I even wear them out sometimes.
CF: What’s your favorite place to shop at?
KS: Urban Outfitters. Not only are they conveniently downtown here in State College, but they always have trendy and grungy clothing that I really like. I also love Nordstrom, but I also like shopping at a bunch of different places for different and random things.
CF: Do you have a style inspiration? If so, who?
KS: My older sister. She is really trendy and always shops at little boutiques in Philly.
CF: What is your outfit from?
KS: My scarf is from Express. My boots are from ALDO, and my pants were from American Apparel. My blue gem bracelet is from J.Crew.
How To: Wear this look on a casual date with your crush from Biology class. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Maybe you aren’t going to the fabulous, fancy restaurant in New York City. The Deli or Kildare’s down the road will have to settle, so put on your favorite pair of dark washed jeans. (I recommend BDG jeans from Urban Outfitters.) Slip on your favorite hooded scarf and pair them with riding boots for a put together look, which I promise will be an equation to perfect chemistry.
