FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT: Katie Kuzminski

Fashionista Spotlight

Misericordia welcomes snow today! Thus it is official, winter is here and here to stay. This week’s Fashionista would live in the summer season over winter season but nonetheless,  embraces the snow with combat boots and knitted sweaters. Fall Winter Fashion Trends published an article showing off the 2013-2014 women’s fashion jean trends. My personal favorite is the burgundy denim. But this Fashionista loves dark denim.

Name: Katie Kuzminski

Major: Biology, Doctor of Physical Therapy

Year: Senior

CollegeFashionista: Where did you get each piece of your outfit?

Katie Kuzminski: My knitted sweater is from Victoria’s Secret and my jeans are from Banana Republic. My combat boots are from Steve Madden. I’m wearing a Fossil watch and my arm candy is Marc Jacobs. My gold necklace is from JCPenny.

CF: What are your wardrobe basics?

KK: Definitely dark wash denim! I have a very simple style that includes plain sweaters and delicate jewelry. I have some statement items but most of my accessories include items like skinny bracelets.

CF: What is your favorite fashion season and why?

KK: My favorite season is summer. I love it because my go-to outfit is a tank top, jean shorts and a pair of leather sandals.

CF: If you could have anyone’s wardrobe, whose would you want to have?

KK: Lauren Conrad. She has great style and it is not over the top. I like her looks because they can be very easily replicated and they are versatile.

CF: Describe your style in three words.

KK: Simple, classy and feminine.

How To: To pull off this elegant look, start off with a knitted sweater and dark wash denim jeans. Wear a pair of chic combat boots and add gold accessories such as bracelets and a watch. Finish off the look with a gold statement necklace.
