Some people who have a ‘simple’ way of dressing themselves may come across as boring or dull. Well, dull is the LAST word to describe this Fashionista. Even when it’s below 30 degrees outside with a long and tedious walk to class, this Fashionista knows exactly how to turn ‘simple’ in to girly, preppy and cute.
Name: Kate Eacobacci
CollegeFashionista: So what inspired the outfit that you are wearing today?
Kate Eacobacci: Honestly the weather! It just snowed here in New York so I needed something that would keep me really warm.
CF: How would you describe your style?
KE: My style is definitely girly and simple. I always make sure to look put together and neat no matter where I am going.
CF: What would you say are your three favorite stores?
KE: My top three favorite stores are J.Crew, Gap and American Eagle Outfitters. I also love looking at Anthropologie for inspiration. As for accessories, kate spade has really cute bags and jewelry.
CF: Is there anything that you are specifically saving up money for?
KE: Yes! Since it gets really cold here at Hofstra, I really want a puffer-styled jacket. I love the ones from Michael Kors.
How To: The first and most important step is to find a cute winter coat. Staying warm is the number one priority because it’s hard to walk around campus all day while its freezing (especially if you have 8 a.m.’s.) She is wearing a super trendy peacoat from dELiA*s that covers up her wool sweater underneath to keep her warm. She bought her gray and floral scarf from Urban Outfitters. Try a floral patterned scarf or a bold color to brighten even the gloomiest of winter days. She got her colorful pair of corduroy skinnies from the Gap and a brown pair of boots from Lucky Brand to wear with her adorable coat. Like this Fashionista, you can add to your outfit by wearing a statement ring and some pearl stud earrings from Forever 21.
