I spotted this student while I was on a shopping trip downtown. Downtown Flagstaff is always a host to the most stylish people. I love when a Fashionista can take a style and make it her own, this Fashionista did exactly that. The first thing I saw was her adorable dress, but what I appreciated the most about her dress is how casual she made it look. The Fashionista made this outfit her own. She used her jean jacket to dress down her dress, while her gladiator sandals enhanced the boho-chic appeal of her ensemble. The combination of this outfit created the perfect amount of boho and casual!
Name: Kami Meier
CollegeFashionista: Tell me about what you’re wearing.
Kami Meier: I’m wearing a Nordstrom jean jacket with a dress from the Flagstaff boutique P.J. Chilcottage and shoes from a small store in Las Vegas.
CF: How would you describe your style?
KM: My style is a mash up of a bunch of different styles, so I think the best word to describe it would be eclectic.
CF: Where do you find inspiration for your style?
KM: My inspiration comes from people I see around campus or from my time working at Nordstrom. I love taking someone else’s style and making it my own.
CF: What are your favorite brands to rock?
KM: I love Free People and Hudson Jeans, but I also love finding good deals from thrift shopping!
CF: What are your must-haves in your wardrobe?
KM: My must-haves are jean jackets or chambrays, I think they go with just about any outfit. I also love chunky sweaters and combat boots, they’re just such great staple items!
How To: To look boho casual like this adorable Fashionista, you’re going to need a basic outwear item like a jean vest or jacket. Pair you jacket or vest with a patterned dress or jumpsuit. Finish off your outfit with a pair of leather sandals with jewelry accents. If you’re looking to really dress up the boho style of this ensemble, swap out your sandals for a pair of chunky clogs, you’ll be radiating zen vibes in no time!
