Spring is the perfect time to start breaking out those dresses and skirts. I spotted this Fashionista in Surrey, British Columbia, in a combination of a pretty lace dress and boots. As a Kwantlen University student, she always likes to be comfortable while looking stylish. I love how her outfit is feminine and classy, but also simple and casual. This is a great look to go from day to night.
Name: Kaela Popoff

CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your style?
Kaela Popoff: I feel like my style is a bit of everything. If I had to describe it, I would say it’s a mish-mash of preppy, boho and casual-chic.
CF: What are some of your wardrobe staples?
KP: I think it depends what time of year it is, but for the spring/summer, some of my staples include lace, pastels and a cute pair of flower or pearl studded earrings.
CF: Where do you look for fashion inspiration?
KP: Pinterest, Pinterest and more Pinterest!
CF: Whose closet would you love to raid and why?
KP: The only closet I know and love is my virtual Pinterest closet. If I could get my hands on the things on there I would be the happiest person ever.
CF: What are your favourite trends this season?
KP: My favourite trends this season include a lot of dresses and skirts. I’m in love with maxi skirts, high-low dresses and skater skirts!
CF: If money weren’t an issue, what one item would you love to splurge on?
KP: A beautiful pair of Tory Burch Reva flats. I’ve always wanted a pair.
How To: Start off with a white lace dress and throw a neutral-toned cardigan over it. Then add a pair of tall brown boots and a classic black side bag . Finish off with a long gold necklace and a gold watch.
